Patient profile: |
This 43-year-old man complained of sharp, stabbing pain in his right shoulder for three years. He had a complex history of multiple dislocations since the age of 16 from playing football and developed severe degenerative arthritis. |

Surgical Outcome: |
One month postoperatively the patient had no complaints of the pre-operative pain. When seen three months after the procedure he had an excellent range-of-motion of his right shoulder and no complaints of any pain. He also had a fully intact rotator cuff musculature, which allowed him to return to competitive golfing activities for the past five years. |
